Just How Much Protein Do Bodybuilders Eat?

Bulking - How Much Protein Should I Be Eating?

When it comes to bodybuilding, increasing your caloric intake is extremely important. Without it a significant boost in your eating habits your body will not have enough energy and nutrients in order for it to grow.

While many people will use this as an excuse to eat whatever they would like, it must be said that this is not the case. You cannot simply sit and eat burgers, pizza and chips all day long because you are ‘bulking’. In order for you to gain weight and increase muscle mass you need to be ingesting the right stuff.

Protein plays a significant part in the bulking process, and bodybuilders tend to be very strict on their protein intake. Studies have suggested that when bulking, it is good to ingest 1.5g to 2.2g of protein per kg of body weight.
